CS160 Spring 1999 Announcements

• April 11, 1999: Mid-term and Project are graded. Results and discussion on 4/13/99. Also, I decided to make all the HTML and JavaScript topics testable for all students.

• Mar 18, 1999: Midterm is here !

• Mar 12, 1999: Lecture Notes Updated, Design Phase Updated

• Mar 1, 1999: Lecture Notes Updated

• Feb 24, 1999: Schedule, HW2 and Project Phase I move to 3/4/99

• Feb 13, 1999: Schedule and Reading updated

• Feb 13, 1999: New class list generated, No waiting list will be keep from this point on ... come back next semester if you did not make it this time.

• Feb 06, 1999: For documentation on Java coding and JDK. Start with http://java.sun.com/docs/index.html, then pick whatever version and tools you are using. For JDK 1.1 documentation described in class, it will be under http://java.sun.com/products/jdk/1.1/docs/api/packages.html - Have Fun !

• Feb 06, 1999: Schedule updated, homework 2 & 2.5 online and Java reading assigned. The reading is based on "The Java Tutorial Second Edition".

• Feb 06, 1999: For people who are in the 8:30pm class AND miss the 2/4/99 materials, please go back and re-read it. We will only go through an example for catch up.

• Feb 06, 1999: Please read the detail instruction for Homework 1. If you print it when the class first start, it will be different. Also, only the homeworks from students who are in the classes will be graded.

• Feb 06, 1999: A new class list is generated (You need excel which is available from SJSU to read it). All the graduating seniors should be in either one of the classes. If you are a graduating senior and is not added in the classes, please come see me with all the proof. We will have to replace a graduating senior with an existing student.

Again, students who are added to the 8:30pm class is required to attend class at 8:30pm; students who signup for 7:00pm is required to attend class at 7:00pm and so on. I will hand out the add/drop code as soon as I get it.

Also, ATTENDANCE will be taken everyday in the class. (at least for now) And a new waiting list will be generated everytime. When a person drop from a class, a spot will be available to add. I will be teaching CS160 next semester as well with Internet project, sessions on JavaScript and XML as well. If you did not make it this semester, try the NEXT one.

The Computer Science department is still working on getting the new session setup. But, a new session for sure will be opened. However, students who are added to the 8:30pm class is required to attend class at 8:30pm; students who signup for 7:00pm is required to attend class at 7:00pm and so on.
